Just like most massively multiplayer online strategic game, currency is key to win. Game of War is not an exception. No matter you are a starter or an advanced player, read the Game of War tips and guides below to better your performance.

- Build Alliances.  It may be tempting to try to go it on your own, but you’ll fair much better in Game of War if you build alliances often and early in the game. Alliances in Game of War are agreements you make with other Game of War players to work towards similar goals and help defend each other’s turf and attack the same enemies. As you can probably see, forming alliances can help greatly when you come under attack–it’s always nice to have backup. Plus alliances give you more loyalty points and allow you to obtain more game of war gold. Or you can choose game of war buy gold at cocgems.com to save your time and money!
- Build More Than One Barracks. When you begin the game you’ll be instructed to build one barracks. A barracks is the dwelling you need to house and train your soldiers. Without soldiers you can’t defend your lands or attack enemies. But while one barracks is a good start (indeed, a necessity) if you stop there your armies will be pretty week. That’s why it's good to build three to four barracks right away and get your troops growing.
- Start Building Hospitals. When we play an MMO we always want to build the cool stuff–forts, artilleries, etc. But in Game of War it's super important to build boring hospitals. Why? Because when your soldiers get injured the hospital will heal them. And your ability to heal your wounded soldiers could well decide whether you win or lose.
- Take Advantage of Peace. Game of War features period of peace, where no armies are attacking other armies. Matter of fact, the game begins in a Peace Period. Treasure these moments and use them to build relatively benign things like hospitals and barracks. Because once the peace period is over you’re going to come under attack and be too busy defending yourself to build up.
- Watch For The Red Dotted Lines. After playing Game of War for a while you’ll notice that red dotted lines appear in the lands from time to time. These lines signify that other armies are about to move into that territory and take over the land (or mine it for resources). The lines not only show you what will happen shortly, they can help you craft strategy. For example, if you see red dotted lines do you want to try to get to the land first, or do you want to let the other armies do their thing and then swoop in on them?
- Hide Your Troops In Areas With No Resources. As already mentioned, troops are pivotal to your success or failure. That’s why many invading armies won’t necessarily come to attack your buildings or get your gold. They’ll come for your troops first. After all, if they kill all your troops, you have no armies to defend your lands. A clever tip is to send you troops to lands with no resources and leave them there. Since the lands have no resources, other armies will likely pay it little attention. This means your troops will be safe from attack during long periods. Then, when you need your troops to defend your home turf, just recall them back. Buy game of war gold packs to make your troops stronger!
- Use Your Teleport Tool To Move Near Your Alliances. Before you reach Stronghold level 5 in Game of War you are given one teleport tool that allows you to teleport anywhere on the map. It’s a very good idea to use this tool to teleport within range of your alliances and begin building your stronghold there. If you’re building near your other alliances it is much easier for them to help you out when you come under attack.
